                                    Instructions

First, we will make our broth using vegetable stock. Heat 2 cups of water on high heat until it comes to a boil. Once boiling, add all vegetables except celery and ginger. Reduce the heat to low and simmer covered for 30 minutes.

While boiling, remove any foam that may appear from time to time. After 30 minutes, strain out the vegetables through cheesecloth into another pot. Add 4 more cups of cold water and bring back up to boil. Turn off the heat once again and let cool down completely before adding other ingredients.

The second step is to check if the vegetables are boiled or not; you can use a fork. If there is no resistance in your hand when you push it against them, then they have been cooked enough. Now place the boiled vegetables aside and keep the vegetable broth for later use

The third step is to prepare the prawns. It would be best if you deveined the shrimp first by cutting along the vein with kitchen scissors. Make sure you do this on both sides so as to get rid of all the blood inside. Then cut each piece lengthwise into two halves.

Now thoroughly wash the pieces under running water until clean. This will help remove any dirt that may be present on the surface of the prawns—once done, pat dry using a paper towel. If you feel deveining the prawns is a daunting task, then buy already prepared ones from your local supermarket or restaurant. They are usually available in packs at reasonable prices.

If you are purchasing deveined prawns from the store, do so when they come out of the fridge, as this will help prevent their drying up quickly. This also applies to any other ingredient that may be needed during cooking, like soy sauce, mirin, sake etc.

Another important step while making the Wagamama prawn ramen recipe is to keep all the necessary ingredients handy. You can always make it more convenient by keeping them ready and close to hand. For example, if you have some fresh ginger root sitting around unused, use it now for garnishing purposes instead of buying another one later.

The main difference between the prawn ramen recipe and the Wagamama's restaurant version is the use of several ingredients such as mirin, sake, rice wine vinegar, miso paste, wasabi powder. Hence it is super important to source all the ingredients from a nearby local supermarket before starting with the recipe.

The fourth step is to take a cast iron pan and add 2 spoons of olive oil. The main reason for using the cast iron pan for cooking noodles is that they are easy to clean up after use. Also, cast iron retains a lot of heat and hence cooking time is reduced significantly.

Now add the shrimps into the hot pan and cook them until slightly pinkish in colour. Turn each prawn to the other side so that both sides get cooked evenly. This will ensure even seasoning throughout the dish.

Once both the sides of the prawns are done, remove them from the pan and set them aside on some kitchen paper towels. Repeat this process till all the shrimp have been cooked.

The fifth step is to use the same cast iron pan for cooking the other ingredients. Pour 3 spoons of olive oil, and once the oil is heated, add the boiled vegetables and saute for about 2 minutes or until they turn lightly golden brown. Add salt as per taste.

Make sure the cooked vegetables contain thinly sliced carrots, celery and cabbage. Once the vegetables are golden brown, add a pinch of ginger paste along with 1 teaspoon of finely chopped garlic and mix well. Cook everything together for another minute before adding half a cup of water. Let the mixture boil gently for 5-6 minutes.

Now add all the secret Wagamama ingredients. Add 1/2 cup Chicken Stock, 2 tablespoons Miso Paste 1 tablespoon Sake, 3 teaspoons Rice Wine Vinegar along with 4 teaspoons Soy Sauce and 2 teaspoons Sugar, 1 teaspoon Mirin, 1 teaspoon Wasabi Powder and finally a pinch of salt along with 1 cup Vegetable Broth.

The optimal solution is that, In a blender combine the vegetable stock, miso paste, sake, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, mirin, wasabi powder, salt and egg white until smooth and pour them in the boiling soup.

Now mix it thoroughly until every ingredient is incorporated into each other. The final step would be to keep the soup in the pan to boiling until you can see more steam coming out from your pan.

Now add 3 blocks of ramen noodles and let them absorb some heat in the boiling soup. Let the noodles boil for about 5 minutes before taking them off the stove.

                                                                          Keyword wagamama prawn ramen recipe
