Shredded Chicken Sandwich Recipe Ingredients:
- 200 grams boneless chicken breast/ canned chicken breasts
- 1 jug water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup red pepper
- 1/2 cup yellow bell pepper
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp red chili sauce
- coriander leaves
- bread slices
- 2 tbsp butter

Step-by-Step Instructions on how to make a shredded chicken sandwich:
So now, let’s see how to make it. First, we’ll take a slow cooker/pressure cooker and add one water jug. Further will add 200 grams of chicken breast. I have used boneless chicken breasts in this recipe. You can also use boneless chicken thighs. Add half a teaspoon of pepper and half a teaspoon of salt to the water. According to the taste, add garlic cloves.

Now, all we need to do is pressure cook the meat. Pressure cook the meat for four whistles on medium flame inside the slow cooker. The slow cooker is a type of pressure cooker which helps to slowly pressure cook the meat. You can use a pressure cooker as well instead of a slow cooker.

Remove the bones from the meat. Toss the boneless meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Now, add one more cup of water to the slow cooker. Close and lock the lid of the cooker. Cook on high for 1 to 2 hours on medium heat.
Here you can see that the chicken inside the cooker is boiled well after four whistles from the slow cooker. We will let the cooker cool down before opening it.

Slowly remove the lid and remove the pieces of meat slowly. Here you can see that the pieces are boiled well. Once the boiled meat is cooled down, We will take the fleshy part of the meat and place them aside on a plate leaving the chicken soup alone in the slow cooker.
Now, all we need to do is shred the chicken as shown in the below image. For shredding them, we will use two forks to shred the chicken slowly, piece by piece.

You can shred the chicken easily because we have cooked it nicely in a slow cooker for four whistles. The shredding part must not take much time here. We have finished shredding the entire chicken. Place them aside.
Now take a vessel and add 2 teaspoons of oil. Medium heat the oil before adding 2 garlic cloves. Add onion, half a cup of yellow capsicum, and a Quarter cup of red capsicum. Stir the vegetables well for quite some time. Make sure that the flame is high enough to cook the vegetables well.

Add the chicken to the vegetables frying in the pan. Mix them nicely.
So mixing might take quite some time because the chicken is thin and fibery, and everything has to get mixed well.
So it is essential to stir the ingredients for some time.

Add salt according to taste and half a teaspoon of black pepper. After mixing for quite some time, we’ll add the broth, the water left over after boiling the chicken from the slow cooker. Make sure the chicken broth is as thick as the chicken soup. After adding the broth, stir the ingredients for 5 minutes till the water is nicely evaporated. The stuffing is almost ready.
So, we’ll turn the flame.
Cool the stuffing for 5 to 10 minutes.
Now take a bowl and add a quarter cup of mayonnaise into it. Add 1 tbsp of red chili sauce.

We will mix it. Make sure that the mayonnaise is combined with the red chili sauce nicely. Add the meaty mixture, which we just cooked.

We’ll add a little quantity and mix it for quite some time. Add coriander leaves according to your choice for the seasoning, and your stuffing is ready.

We’ll take bread slices and spread the stuffing onto the bread. Here you can see I have applied it beautifully on top of the entire bread slice. We will cover it with another piece of bread.
For the toasting, heat the pan, add some butter, and spread the butter throughout the pan. And we’ll place the sandwich on it and ensure it is nicely roasted. Apply some butter on the top of the sandwich. The butter needs to be on both sides.

Because after this, we are going to flip the sandwich.
After flipping and adding butter, it might be slightly tricky.
Hence, we need to add the butter before toasting the bread. Once the chicken sandwich is toasted nicely, place the toasted bread sandwich on a plate. You can cut the sandwich according to your choice into pieces, and that’s it. Serve hot!
