Choose your bread

A tasty bread for veggie sandwiches is recommended. You need something that will hold up to this dense texture without pulling and something that will put weight on your stomach alongside this lighter vegetable.

You can easily create your own bread with no-knead bread/focaccia. You can make veggie sandwiches into wraps using extra-large tortillas. A stuffed pita pocket could help, too, but it could be difficult securing them all. The sandwich in the pictures has whole wheat bread.

You can use any bread for a veg sandwich, but hearty wheat bread or pumpernickel bread works well. Be sure to slice the bread thinly, so the vegetables don’t overpower it. If you’re looking for a low-carb option, try lettuce leaves instead of bread.

Vegetable Sandwich Recipe Ingredients:

A delicious and healthy veg sandwich can be made with a few simple ingredients. All you need is some bread, favourite vegetables, and a little dressing or spread.

Start by spreading some condiments on your bread to make a basic vegetable sandwich. Then, add whatever vegetables you like. Lettuce, tomatoes, roasted egg plant, cucumbers, and sprouts are all good options. You can add cheese or avocado if you want a more substantial grilled cheese sandwich. Once your vegetables are assembled, close up the sandwich with another slice of bread.

Add juicy ripe tomatoes and mushrooms instead of the usual condiment for a more flavorful sandwich. You can also experiment with different types of bread, such as ciabatta bread or rye bread. And don’t forget to add a few pickled vegetables on the side!

  • 1/2 bunch of coriander leaves
  • 7 to 8 mint leaves
  • 5-6 coriander leaves
  • 5-6 green chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted channa dal
  • two teaspoon chaat masala
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper as required
  • 1 to 2 ice cube blocks
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper or green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 100 grams of grated processed cheese
  • Two teaspoon lemon juice

Add cheese (optional)

  1. Because I used cheese as it is technically a sandwich, we added less cheese. Cheese helps make a sandwich filling. There are various types of cheese that can be used for a sandwich, like fresh mozzarella cheese and feta cheese, but processed cheese is the best cheese option for a veggie sandwich.

Step By Step Instructions for making vegetable sandwich:

Whether looking for a quick and easy lunch or a satisfying dinner, this vegetable sandwich is the perfect solution. With flavorful veggies and a delicious sauce, this sandwich will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Here’s how to make it:

  1. The first step in making a veg sandwich is the mint chutney which is used as the sandwich spread. Add 1/2 bunch of coriander leaves, 7 to 8 mint leaves, 5-6 coriander leaves, 5-6 green chillies, 1/2 teaspoon roasted channa dal, two teaspoon chaat masala, 3 to 4 garlic cloves salt as required and 1 to 2 ice cube blocks in a mixer.

Add the mint chutney
  1. Mix the ingredients well for 30 to 40 seconds until you see a mildly thick green paste. Make sure the chutney is mildly thick. Add some water to the mint chutney if required. Now pour the mint chutney from the mixer to a small up and keep them aside.
  2. Start by spreading a layer of sandwich chutney on one side of your bread. We also like to use garlic chutney, but you can use any type of chutney that you like for a savory flavor.
  3. The key to a good veg sandwich is to use fresh herbs and vegetables. Next, add your veggies. We like to use a mix of capsicum and red onion, but feel free to use whatever veggies you like. Chop 1 to 2 green and red bell pepper after washing them well in water. Chop 1 to 2 medium-sized red onions and keep both of them aside.
  4. Now take 100 grams of processed cheese and grate them. Keep the cheese aside. This helps to provide the sandwich with a creamy texture.

  1. Now take a small bowl and add the sliced green onion, capsicums and cheese. Add one teaspoon of oil to the bowl and mix everything well. Take a pan and heat it for about 2 minutes on medium heat. Add the onion-capsicum-cheese mixture to the pan and saute them for 2 to 3 minutes until they are cooked.
  2. Once the veggies are cooked, add salt and pepper powder and one teaspoon of lemon juice to the pan. Mix everything well and saute them for another minute. Remove the mixture from the pan and add it to a plate.
